Poonam Namjoshi

A multi-faceted personality with an array of interests, Poonam is a postgraduate from Mumbai University with a specialization in Taxation and Accounting and with a total experience of 18 years in the field of academia. An avid reader, state-level badminton player, and trained dancer, Poonam enjoys teaching the most. Being in the field of Management Education for the last 16 years, her passion for imparting knowledge is so profound that she is known for bringing life to mundane subjects in the classroom. She employs innovative teaching techniques like using a game of monopoly, crosswords, or puzzles to help learners understand the concept. Having presented papers at national and international conferences in Accounting, Banking, and Finance, she has to her credit several publications in various research journals and magazines. Before entering academia, she worked in the corporate sector as a consultant on cost management and taxation issues. She has been a corporate trainer with SAP Labs, Infosys, HP, E&Y, and other renowned corporations. Along with being associated with We-school, NMIMS, KIAMS, etc., she was also a consultant for the Times of India Group in their education domain. Although Poonam completed her schooling and college education in Mumbai, coming from a family of professional bankers, she has been in different locations across India. With a cosmopolitan outlook on life, she is currently settled in Bangalore, working as Associate Director at UNext
