Learning with a CEO in EPBA Batch of 2017

The Executive Program in Business Analytics by Jigsaw Academy and MISB Bocconi is one of the leading professional analytics training program in the country. Currently in its third year, the program already has garnered considerable attention from anyone looking to effectively make a career switch into the analytics and data science sector through a certificate program.

The program has always seen a mixed bag of students coming from diverse professional and educational backgrounds. This year too it’s no different. The batch of 2017, soon to begin their training, has CEOs and COOs to people who have just begin their professional careers. The average work experience for this batch of students is over 9 years, with around third of them having more than 10 years of work experience.

Surprisingly, this batch sees more number of people from non-IT sectors as compared from the IT industry. In fact, students from non-IT backgrounds account for 55% of the intake this year.

The range of professional backgrounds is quite interesting. We have a CEO with 17 years of experience in the IT & Business sector in the same class as a Solution Analyst with 4 years of experience in the Pricing and Billing Product domain.

Here are some interesting student profiles from this year:

Ravi Sinha: CEO at an online platform building an equipment ecosystem. He comes with a rich experience of 17+ years in Program Management, Business & IT Strategy Development, Business Process Consulting, Operations Management, and Presales & Delivery Management. He is a Certified PMP and PME with a range of technical skills across data science & analytics, databases, programming languages, mobility networks, and solutions among others. He holds an MBA in International Business from Hult International Business School

Pius Coutinho: Has over 17 years of work experience as a Store Manager & Restaurant Manager for well-known FMCG brands and is currently working in the Supply Chain Management division. He holds an MBA in Retail and Supply Chain

Kunal Chandawalla: Senior Vice-President at Citi with technology leadership experience servicing Treasury and Compliance businesses. He was over 12 years of experience managing projects across IT Delivery, Vendor & Program management, and Technology Leadership. Kunal is a Computer Science graduate with an MBA in Finance & Small Business and Entrepreneurship. He has a wide range of expertise in the sectors he has worked in and has had a proven track record throughout his career.

Joanna Colaso: Senior Agency Development Manager at Max Life Insurance with over 12 years of experience and core competence in Operations Management, Quality Management, Training & Development. She is also a Certified Six Sigma Yellow Belt.

Manjunath Hegde: PMP Certified Technical Lead at PricewaterhouseCoopers with 12 years of experience in the IT sector. He is also certified in Business Intelligence Development from Microsoft and has trained in various Data Science technologies.

Ashay Lanjewar: Supply Chain Manager at General Mills with over 8 years of experience. He holds a Masters in Industrial Engineering from the esteemed institute of Georgia Tech.

Roshan Suvarna: A technology driven professional and a SAP Consultant at Capgemini with 5 years of work experience. He hails from a commerce background.
