• AWS is a suite (secured) cloud service developed and managed by Amazon, while Google Cloud is a suite (secured) of Google’s public cloud computing resources & services. 

a) AWS choose based on the number of regions

The number of regions in AWS is Twenty Two (22). A region (geographic area) is a separate area where a data center is located for use in a cloud service. The servers in each region (geographic area) provide the same service but do not interfere with each other, so if something goes wrong in one region (geographic area), the other area will continue to operate normally.

The advantage of having a large number of regions (geographic area) is that it’s easier to choose regions that are closer to the user. Need to think about which region the system is developing is intended to be used mainly by, and choose a closer region.

AWS has a lot of official documents and cloud service utilization materials, and there is a lot of information in Japanese. It is a cloud service that is easy to understand and research and has a good reputation for the quality of its paid support.

AWS has been around for a longer duration, so it has wide areas of support for commercial licenses, and if using a service that requires formal commercial support, namely Oracle, It is safe to choose AWS.

d) GCP if you choose based on the virtual machine startup speed

GCP virtual machines can be started up very quickly, about Forty (40) seconds. This is overwhelmingly fast, as opposed to a typical cloud service that takes about 3 minutes to start up.

e) GCP if you want to use big data analytics

Google, a search engine organization, has great strength in data analysis. Normally, when using cloud services to perform data analysis, users need to add and tune computational resources by themselves, but with GCP, resources in Google’s data center are automatically allotted, so users don’t need to worry about computational resources.

  h) Disadvantages of AWS

• AWS is not an ideal option for start-ups that are not tech-savvy.
• AWS deployment process is not much easy and it is also very long which can take up to 15 to 20 minutes for a simple website.
• Unreliable deployment with no error description.
• Launching multiple application instances is a very difficult process in AWS.

i) Disadvantages of Google Cloud 

• Small (organization) components, difficult to start.
• Out of Free Tier, everything costs.
• Lack of features compared to AWS.

• The Total Cost of Ownership is very low compared to any private servers.

l) How to Pick Cloud Service

• Google Cloud and AWS both are good platforms for cloud services. So, before deciding, understand what type of feature the organization needs and how much amount want to pay for them. 
• The right cloud service provider helps to achieve the organization’s goal by enhancing the functioning of enterprises. Since AWS is the market leader in features and reliability of vote will tilt towards them.

m) Pricing Processes Are Different

• One area where there is not a notable difference between these two market leaders in the pricing policy they offer.
• AWS uses a pay-as-you-go model and charges customers per hour, and they pay for a full hour, even if they use only one minute of it. Google Cloud follows a to-the-minute pricing process.
